Founded under the shelter of the castle of Arganzón, Sancho VI of Navarre, the Wise, was the king in charge of granting the fuero to his population in 1191. However, despite its beginnings as a free town, it subsequently became part of the manor of the powerful Velasco family. Its historical centre keeps important vestiges of that past, such as the design of the three original streets of the town, part of the primitive walls or the bridge over the Zadorra river. Outside the south gate of the town, we find a pilgrim hospital dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist, which, after a renovation on the 18th century, is attached to the hermitage of Our Lady of Antigua. In addition, the streets still maintain colourful civil and palatial buildings that show the power of their former neighbours.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ prev_background_color=”#ffffff” module_id=”video” _builder_version=”4.16″ background_color=”#dbdbdb” custom_padding=”122px|0px|0|0px|false|false” top_divider_style=”wave” top_divider_height_tablet=”” top_divider_height_phone=”39px” top_divider_height_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_4,3_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_video src=”https://youtu.be/g2QpPc5P9sQ” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_video][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,1_3,1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”57px|0px|0|0px|false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://alavamedieval.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/flecha-up-negro.png” url=”https://alavamedieval.com/iglesia-de-nuestra-senora-de-la-asuncion-de-la-puebla-de-arganzon/?lang=en#indice” align=”center” align_tablet=”center” align_phone=”” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”4.16″ max_width=”13%” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ prev_background_color=”#dbdbdb” module_id=”360″ _builder_version=”4.16″ background_color=”#adadad” custom_padding=”55.5156px|0px|72px|0px|false|false” top_divider_style=”wave” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_font=”||||||||” background_layout=”dark” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”]
